Dorset Architectural Heritage Week runs from 9 – 18 September, when the Sacristy will be specially opened between 2-4 pm to show the old wall paintings, the barn chapel used in penal times, and the Fra Newbery painting of the Chideock Martyrs.
Also open between 2-4 pm will be the Weld Memorial Chapel, next to St
Giles Parish Church in the centre of the village, with its well-preserved murals of biblical scenes.
