On Tuesday 9 December, 27 children from St Catherine’s School’s Year 3 in Bridport came to Church of Our Lady for a Christingle service which was led by Jessica Mugliston. Accompanied by 4 teachers, the children decorated their christingles and then processed into the church for a short service and talk in front of the crib. The candles were lit and a carol was sung before they went back into the museum for a delicious tea, laid on by the Friends of the Church. The visit was much appreciated by the teachers and children, and it is hoped that more visits will be made by St Catherine’s pupils at appropriate times during the year.
