The Church of Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs, & St Ignatius in Chideock is situated along a quiet country lane (North Road), about a ten minute, easy walk from St Giles Church and the Weld Memorial Chapel. There is a parking area just beyond the entrance. Vigil Masses are held on 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month at 6 pm, and every Friday at 10 a.m. Masses are attended by local people from the Bridport area and also by many people visiting this beautiful area.

Chideock Martyrs Church is one of three churches in the Bridport Parish. All three of our churches in the parish have groups of people who raise money for charitable projects and church maintenance. At Chideock we have recently raised a considerable sum of money to repair a seriously leaking roof and replace the original Victorian dome. The Church is listed Grade 2* which tends to make repairs more complex.

Additionally we have small group of Friends of the Church who organise groups of visitors to the church and provide lunches and teas if requested. Some of these groups are on pilgrimage and some come out of interest to see the architecture of the Church and to see the small museum, which has displays of village life and Catholic history. The Friends also have particular skills such a flower-arranging for weddings, and the provision of excellent cakes. Additional volunteers are always very welcome!

Our Parish Priest, Fr Keith Mitchell, and all of us look forward to welcoming new members and visitors to the parish and hope very much that you enjoy your time at the Church.
