During this week every year the church Sacristy will be specially opened 2-4 pm to view the wall paintings, the Fra Newbery painting of the Chideock Martyrs, and the old barn chapel where mass was said in secret in penal times. Also open will be the Weld Memorial Chapel next to St Giles Church with its extraordinary murals of biblical scenes.
